Course Overview
The Department of ECE is recognized by VTU as a Research Centre to offer PhD/ M.Sc.(Eng.) by research Department provides a platform for research in emerging areas like Power electronics,Embedded Systems, Communications, Signal Processing, Image Processing, Microelectronics, Nanotechnology, IoT and Photonics through its research centre and deliberates the latest technologies through research publications. The department has MOU’s with various industries for training the students in VLSI, Embedded system, Robotics, IoT and Communication fields.

Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum academic qualifications to be satisfied by the candidates seeking admission to the Ph. D Programme:

- The candidates shall possess a Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent from any University recognized by UGC, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor’s or the Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline.

- The candidates shall possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent from any University recognized by UGC, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks in the relevant discipline to seek admission for M.Sc by research.
